Delivery of Online Health Care Classes in Developing Countries

Developing countries such as India use various e-learning platforms for the delivery of online healthcare classes. The use of these platforms has particularly been on the rise recently after the COVID-19 pandemic, in which lockdown measures were introduced to reduce transmission of the novel virus (Syed et al., 2021). During this period, various medical institutions in India were closed, and healthcare professionals were required to adopt e-learning as a teaching method to ensure that they remain updated with the latest developments, considering that they are at the forefront of combating COVID-19. Among the e-learning platforms utilized by healthcare professionals during this period included zoom, google class, and skype (Syed et al., 2021). Smartphones were primarily used by most healthcare professionals in engaging in e-learning classes, with the objective of improving their knowledge and skills. Similarly, refugees in war zone areas such as Ukraine and Jordan utilized the identified e-learning platforms to access healthcare education to ensure that they receive basic medical training (Lovey et al., 2021).
